Several cars from other brands, including the Chevy Cruze, Mazda AZ-Wagon and Carol are included in the recall because they are produced at Suzuki plants.
Suzuki’s Alto, WagonR and Swift models built between 1998 and 2009 are also being called back.
A total of 67 smoking ignition switches have been reported, but Suzuki is not aware of any accidents or injuries as a result of the problem. The issue has only been reported in Japan.
