2009 Sx4 sedan engine rattling and vibration fever

  • Dear Sx4 owners,

Can i get your expertise to help me out?!

Recently, i took over a 2009 sedan SX4, which is running fine with smooth engine in very good interior and exterior condition.
But after driving for about a few months, I started to hear intermittent rattling sound from the engine during idling(on and off). it is kind of soft, but very noticeable. The same rattling will happen, when i start the engine sometimes, it sounded like knocking on metal cans.

The vibration of the car also got worst and worst. The car is under regular servicing, where i done a comprehensive servicing at comfort delgro. They suspect the vibration is due to mounting worn out, but the rattling has no idea how to solve.

Can i get some enlightenment please?

  • Send to a workshop to check ur engine mounting. Mostly have worn.
A good tuning car must be something that you can take out to the streets.  The car must be fun, fast and safe on all kinds of road conditions.
