SX4 troubleshooting.
« on: February 02, 2014, 12:48:05 PM »
Hi i was wondering anyone can recommend a workshop that can troubleshoot SX4 problem properly besides Champion motors.

I feel like my sx4 is not smooth when driving. I change my shocks like 9 months ago but non-stock. Want to go to a trusted and SX4 experience workshop to see whats wrong. Also i went for allignment recently at Kenny's they said my chamber bolt bolt was inferior in quality and advice me to change to a new ones they have (black stronger ones?). Said mine the middle part could move. The chamber bolt. Anyone encountered this problem b4?

Anyway any recommendations? Somewhere good but not as expensive like champion motors?

Hi Well it feels like i am driving in malaysia all the time, even in smooth singapore road. Like the car is not smooth when driving.

So i'll like a realible mech that can tell me.. it is my wheels..shocks.. or something else.

Was telling you about the shocks cause i change them like 9 months ago and it wasnt stock. Dont want to go somewhere and tell me that is the problem if its not. So a reliable mech who knows his sx4 who can tell me what needs to be done or whether my ride is ok and actually what i am feeling is normal.

Any recommendations?

Hi Bro,
If its noise on flat surface, my opinion is to swap your front wheels to back and give test drive.
Or was it the noise of your dash board?
Cheers

Hi Yippe thanks for the reply but a bit lost on the noise part? What I meant was no noise but I feel like driving on a rough surface. Can feel the car like "bouncing" right and left... if that make sense.....

If bouncing, can be ya shock is a softer version? Cause stock shock n spring are tough build for harder road surface travel. Another thing to look at is ya tires. Can be bloated or uneven wear...

I did my servicing at e-rev located at 10 Admiralty Street.
They seems to know my car well...

No harm of giving them a call for quote.
